Osborn Beach Trip, July, 2009

Here are a few pics from the short Osborn beach trip for this summer. Lynn, Savannah and I went with some of the Osborn crew to meet the Osborn crew from DC in Panama City, Florida. We did not take as many pics as we should have. For more pics and videos (including Savannah finding the lost shaker of salt), check out www.ozinnova.blogspot.com.

This is what the view from the 28th floor looks like from Tidewater Beach Resort in PCB.

Matt (Uncle Mac) and Baby Carter

Everyone knows these two.

Savannah and Karlyle watching "Space Chimps" (which was the only childrens movie left in the DVD vending machine). They didn't complain.

Lynn's firework photography from the 4th. The fireworks were actually exploding below us since we were on the 28th floor. Strange perspective.

Here are Savannah and Poppa watching the race. Poppa is explaining that when the cars start running slow, that they have to have new tires. Savannah picked up on that very fast.

Ready for the beach

Savannah Sings "You Are My Sunshine"

My lovely wife recently got me a new iPhone which makes uploading videos extremely easy and painless. Since then, I have caught Savannah singing and telling stories on numerous occasions. Here is one of my favorites.

The Barbie Jeep

A couple of months ago, Ron and I went by a garage sale where I found a lovely pink "Camp Barbie" jeep for the ridiculous price of $5. Of course, it came with a charger that didn't work, and even if it did, there was no battery; and included a factory recall full of faulty wiring. I then preceded to call the customer service # located on the back of the jeep and they gave me a number of a guy in Northport that fixed the wiring issue and could sell me a battery. One trip to the Appliance Connection later, and we had a safe, fully operational barbie jeep.

Barbie Jeep...... $5.00
Battery............. $40.00
Re-wiring......... $no charge (factory recall warranty-awesome)

Savannah and Natalie took turns real well. Don't let the picture mislead you; there was no need for pushing. It runs good.

Here is the Barbie Jeep expert giving instructions.

Missing a headlight. But hey, it was $5. And look at that smile.

$45.00 well spent.
I'm thinking about starting a used Barbie Jeep dealership.

Easter Morning, 2009

Of course, the Easter bunny came and brought too much stuff.

The new glasses and backpack were at hit.

First, the fitting of the ears.
And then the chocolate breakfast began.

Hunting Eggs at the Mason's

This was the Easter egg hunt at Maanmaam's (Savannah's word from Gran'maam) and Paw Paw's.

Savannah and Natalie discussing egg hunting strategy.

This was an attempt to get all of the kids on the slide for a pic. Quite entertaining.

More Snow Pics from 3.1.09

We just thought there was good snow at 8 a.m.

After we came in from the first trip, the bottom fell out and we got at least an additional 3 inches. Here are Lynn, Savo, and the kitty watching out the window.

After watching for about 30 minutes, Savo decided it was time to go back out.
I had no complaints.

Little footprints.

The neighbors decided it was time for a snowman. In this pic, it was already taller than Savo.

Savo, snowman, and Sadie (the dog).

The finished snowman letting his makers know how he feels about them with his right hand.

Here are a couple of photogenic shots from the back porch.
