Savannah Getting Bigger Everyday

Miss Savannah is growing like a weed. Almost two weeks ago, she was up to 10lbs, 12 ozs....quite a change from the 4lbs, 8ozs three months ago. Needless to say, she is doing great. She has a little bouts with acid reflux that make her unhappy from time to time, and she has some colic in the evening hours. But, she is usually pretty happy. She is trying really hard to talk when daddy plays with her feet, and she is trying to sing along with mommy. She sleeps between 6-8 hours at night, which is really nice for mommy and daddy, and her favorite time of the day is bath time. Lynn has been back at work for about two weeks now, and since then, granmomma has taken over during the day while mommy and daddy are at work. Granmomma is doing a great job, and we are very lucky to have her in our home with Savannah. Here are some recent pics................

Bath time is the best. She loves the water.

I Bet This Hurt

I have been meaning to post this for a while.

In the hospital at night after Savannah went to the nursery (this was the week that she was born), Lynn and I would take short walks around the unit to try and help her regain her strength. One night as we were walking, we were looking at all of the door decorations that were displayed down our hallway.

This one stuck out.

Now, Lynn gave birth to a four pound baby, and was in some very excruciating pain. I can't imagine how it felt to have this.

We never found out how long it was or how much it weighed, but can you imagine all of the steel, the parts, the knobs, the ignitor, the cover, the side burner, the charcoal briquettes?

I hope it didn't come with a propane tank........OUCH!

Merry Christmas Pam

After Pam was nice enough to give us an Alabama cheerleading outfit for Savannah, I found it only fitting to give Pam something of equal or lesser value for Christmas.

Since she loves Alabama, some Auburn apparel was perfect for her baby girl expected in April.

Sugar Bowl Blowout

Congratulations to the LSU Tigers for whipping Notre Dame 41-14 in the Sugar Bowl.

Apparently, the wrong quarterback got called to the Heisman ceremony this year. Jamarcus Russell definitely should have been included (he is from Alabama, by the way).

Speaking of Bama, should we be concerned about Saban going to Alabama? I don't think so. Les Miles is 22-4 since being named LSU head coach. Not too bad in the SEC, and bowl games against Miami and Notre Dame.

Can't wait for next season....should be interesting.

Savannah's First Christmas

Needless to say, this Christmas was very special as it was our first with Miss Savannah. She gave us a nice gift also, by sleeping eight hours the night before Christmas. Must have been some intense visions of sugarplums dancing in that little head. Enjoy the pics below.

Congrats To Bama

So, I stand corrected. Saban did accept, and yes I am still surprised. but don't misinterpret...I am very happy for Alabama. One of my buddies called me and thought I would be upset because I am an LSU fan, which is totally not the case.

I am extremely happy for Alabama and the fans. Saban is a great guy, a family man, a hard worker, and a proven winner. It's definitely time for the Tide faithful to have something to cheer about. It's still hard to believe he lives down the road from me now.
