Still No Measurable Snow

This morning, the highly publicized snow storm forecast appeared to be a total bust. It was just cold and raining. I had high hopes, especially when I woke up at 3:30 a.m. to hear sleet hitting the windows. Finally, about 8:30 am, the snow started coming down. It was very slow at first, but then got reasonably hard, especially for Alabama standards. But then in true Alabama Winter fashion, the snow stopped about 11:00 a.m and immediately started to melt. It was completely gone by noon. We did manage to get some pics.......

When the snow first started, we briefly took Savannah outside to see it.

Lynn's snow art.
I was making snowballs off of the car and throwing them into the street.
Savannah thought that was pretty entertaining.
Savannah standing with her name in snow.
Savannah messing up her name in snow.

Is a 1/8 inch considered measurable?More of Lynn's art. It just doesn't sound right: "with no corn cob pipe, and a carrot nose and two eyes made out of carrots."

That was our very brief snow day!
