Update on the Bedrest Girl

So, Lynn has not had the best week. She has had another bout with nausea, which is another symptom of preeclampsia, and the blood pressure has gotten worse. It is still under control, but at this point, she cannot even sit up to work on the computer. It is very touchy, and sky-rockets when she gets up to use the bathroom......example: laying down 110/77; from there, just getting up to go to the bathroom 166/99. For those of you that don't know a whole lot about blood pressure, over 90 for the low number is not good; 100 for the low number is really not good.

BOTTOM LINE: Our goal was to try to make it to sometime between October 24th and the 31st. We had to make an unscheduled trip to the doctors office yesterday (Friday) because of the spike in the blood pressure. Long story short: we are scheduled to go back for another check up on Monday morning, and if everything is ok, we will have a baby on Wednesday, October 18th. The baby's size is good, and the outlook is good for mommy and baby. There is a possibility that we may not get to come home on Monday, so we are going to the hospital prepared to stay. Honestly, we were a little suprised that he let us come home last night. In any event, we will let everyone know if anything changes.

Thank you all for your help and support through Lynn's tough time. Check for updates soon! We are getting ready for the stork!
